VHSL Executive Committee met in C'ville yesterday. Approved :
Divisions for AA basketball
AAA football finals to Lane Stadium
failed : Region C's attempt to create football-only districts

football practice can now start July 28th.
ALL tickets for state games will be $10.
b-ball now has 10 finals & 20 semis. They'll play 6 games per day Tues.-Sat. Group A will see all 4 Div. 1 semis Thursday and finals Fri., 3/13. Div. 2 semis will have the boys Thur. night and girls Fri. morning - both D2 finals will be Sat. aft.
Region C still has a shot at realignment - they can present a new plan in Sept. IF THEY WISH, but it has to be for all sports, not just football.

No right away BUT I look Basketball as more a proof of concept than anything else IMHO if the VHSL thinks they can work the bugs out of the system I look for there to be Divisions in EVERY sport in the next 2 or 3 years
From what I've heard, it won't happen in the other sports.....way too complicated.

You MAY be right but I do not see how it would be any differant than Basketball (IMHO it would probably be less complex since there is no other sport in which the Girls and Guys sports will be useing the same phaclitys other than Track and Tenis)

Ture, but I'm just telling you what the VHSL is telling us. A five classification system based strictly on numbers is more likely to happen than that is.
